Build Character Build Success Poster Submissions
This is not a homework assignment but since there are so many creative and artistic students in our class, I thought this announcement might be of interest to some.
The Toronto District School Board is looking for posters to visually represent our Build
Character Build Success initiative that will be unique to TDSB. Our slogan is Build Character, Build Success.
Between now and February 13, 2009, we encourage poster submissions from all students, staff
and community members. Your poster may represent a single attribute or may be a montage of
all ten attributes, and must include the TDSB slogan: Build Character, Build Success.
The ten attributes are:
Respect Responsibility Empathy
Kindness & Caring Teamwork Fairness
Honesty Co-operation Integrity Perseverance
All submissions are appreciated and finalists will be displayed on March 5, 2009, at the Character Development in Action Showcase 2009 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
In order to ensure fairness, equity, and inclusion, all submissions should accurately reflect the
diverse community of TDSB students, staff, parents, guardians, caregivers, and community
groups. Specifically, submissions should avoid bias and stereotypes based on any of the 16
prohibited grounds of discrimination as outlined in the TDSB Equity Foundation Statement and
the TDSB Human Rights Policy (for more information please visit www.tdsb.on.ca/equity).
We value everyone’s input and look forward to selecting posters that we can all embrace!
Please submit your posters electronically to cbls@tel.tdsb.on.ca or hard copy to Jane Reid at 140 Borough Drive – 2nd Floor, Route SE20 (Toronto, M1P 4N6) by February 13, 2009.
For more information on Character Development in Action see our web page at
